SellerSprite is a popular Amazon research tool and usually the cheapest of the big names. But Helium 10 and Jungle Scout are still the most used, and some sellers only need free tools. Here's how they compare in 2026.
The quick comparison
| Tool | Best for | Free plan | Typical price |
|---|---|---|---|
| SellerSprite | Product and keyword research on a budget | Yes, limited | From about $39/mo |
| Jungle Scout | Beginners who want a guided workflow | 7-day trial | From about $49/mo |
| Helium 10 | All-in-one suite for established sellers | Yes, limited | From about $99/mo |
| Keepa | Price and sales rank history | Yes, limited | About €19/mo |
| Amazon Best Sellers | Free demand check | Free | Free |
Prices are approximate monthly prices, checked October 2026. Annual billing is usually cheaper. Much of the online comparison content comes from the vendors themselves, so check each tool's pricing page before you buy.
What SellerSprite does well
SellerSprite covers the core Amazon research jobs: product sales estimates, keyword research, reverse ASIN lookups (seeing which keywords a competitor ranks for) and market analysis. It has a browser extension that shows data right on Amazon pages.
Where it falls short: it has fewer tools for running your business after launch, like listing optimization, PPC management and inventory, than the big suites.
Jungle Scout: the beginner-friendly option
Jungle Scout is built around finding your first product. It has a product database, an opportunity finder, a supplier database and a browser extension. Plans start at about $49 a month, with a professional tier at about $79.
Pick it if: you're new to Amazon and want a tool that walks you through the process.
Helium 10: the full suite
Helium 10 does research (Black Box for products, Cerebro for reverse ASIN) and also helps run your business with listing tools, PPC management, refund tracking and more. Its main plan costs about $99 a month, and the top tier is much higher.
Pick it if: you're already selling and want one tool for research and operations.
Watch out for: you pay for a lot of features. If you only need research, it's overkill.
Keepa: price and rank history
Keepa isn't a full research suite. It shows the price, sales rank and offer history of any Amazon product. That's useful for checking whether demand is steady or just a short spike.
Pick it if: you want to check a product's history before buying stock. Most sellers use it alongside another tool.
The free route
Amazon's Best Sellers and Movers & Shakers lists show what's selling and what's rising in each category. Combined with Google Trends and Keepa's free features, that's enough to check demand for your first product.
Which one should you use?
- On a budget, research only: SellerSprite.
- First Amazon product: Jungle Scout.
- Established seller who wants one suite: Helium 10.
- Checking a product's history: add Keepa to any of the above.
