The short answer: The cheapest paid AI subscription in 2026 is Google AI Plus at $4.99 a month, followed by ChatGPT Go at $8. If you want several top models in one plan, the cheapest options are the $20 multi-model packs. If you also need AI video, voice and design tools, a $29.95 bundle covers more for less.

Below is every major paid plan sorted by price, then the cheapest pick for each kind of user.

The cheapest pick for each need

Cheapest overall: Google AI Plus, $4.99

Google cut AI Plus from $7.99 to $4.99 in June 2026, which makes it the lowest-priced plan from a major AI company. You get more Gemini use than the free plan, plus 400 GB of Google storage. If you already pay Google for storage, the AI part is almost free.

Watch out for: you don't get Google's top models. Those need Google AI Pro at $19.99.

Cheapest ChatGPT: Go, $8

Go gives you ChatGPT with much higher limits than Free, for 60% less than Plus. It leaves out the heavy features, such as deep research and agents, and it may show ads in the US. For writing, questions and summaries, it's usually enough.

Cheapest for coding: GitHub Copilot Pro, $10

If you mainly want AI to help you write code, Copilot Pro works inside your code editor for half the price of a $20 chat plan. There's also a free tier with lower limits.

Cheapest for students: Le Chat Pro at $5.99, or free offers

Mistral's student price is $5.99 a month. Perplexity offers Education Pro for $10. OpenAI's 2026 Back to School offer gives students four free months of ChatGPT Plus if they claim it by October 31, 2026.

Cheapest way to get several top models: the $20 multi-model packs

The AI All-Access Pack, sold by Bluehost, Network Solutions and Domain.com, puts ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok in one app for $20 a month per user. Buying those four separately costs about $90.

Watch out for: the $20 is an introductory price that renews at the then-current rate. It isn't sold in the EU or UK. Check which model versions and usage limits you get before you pay. Poe works in a similar way from $4.99, but the bigger models use up its points faster.

Cheapest way to get AI plus creative and ecom tools: a bundle, $29.95

If you'd also pay for ElevenLabs, Canva Pro, AI video tools or ecom research tools, a bundle covers far more than any single AI plan. The Luxury Tools membership includes ChatGPT Pro, Claude, Gemini, SuperGrok, Perplexity, ElevenLabs and 25+ ecom and design tools for $29.95 a month.
